Mental Health Compass
Mental Health Compass online will be designed to enhance connections between services, and provide information and guidance to local residents on what service types are available to support good mental health, and the best ways to access them.
Compass online will provide a dynamic online system navigation tool for local consumers, carers and families – supporting empowered local mental health consumers as well as a project delivery design which will support strengthened partnerships between local service providers.
The Mental Health Compass was successfully launched in April 2016. In the process of developing the tool, over 120 people have provided direct feedback. Consultation was taken on at every stage of the development including logo colours and design, content in website, front page of website, test version and launched version.
There were lessons learnt from this process including the need to involve carers, doing in-depth market survey prior to the project, clarifying steering group sign off processes as well as having in-depth discussion with the designers about layout and risks etc.
